A concert of songs concerned with the environment and sustainability, born from a collaboration between poet John McAuliffe and composer Richard Whalley. Cendrillon
Cendrillon is a salon opera composed by Pauline Viardot in 1904, originally written for singers and piano. Excerpts of the opera will be be performed in the WNO’s National Opera Studio Showcase, using Amy Crankshaw’s 2021 orchestration of the work (commissioned by Guildhall School of Music & Drama to celebrates the 200th anniversary of the birth of Viardot).
